What kinds of ceremonies do you offer?

I offer wedding and civil partnership celebrations, commitment ceremonies, vow renewals, naming ceremonies, welcoming ceremonies, adult re-naming ceremonies and family blending ceremonies.

Absolutely. Every love story deserves to be celebrated with joy and respect.

Can we have a completely unique ceremony?

Yes! Your ceremony will be written just for you. I don’t use templates or pre-written scripts. I find out all about you and your story during our story-gathering meeting, then write a ceremony that’s completely bespoke and reflects exactly who you are as an individual, couple or family. You can also include other elements such as readings, poetry, music, singing and religious or symbolic rituals if it suits you. You can include individual friends or family members, or even the whole guest list if you want to get them involved!

Can we include religious or spiritual elements, or rituals like hand-fasting or unity ceremonies?

Of course. You can include as much or as little spirituality or symbolism as you like - or none at all. I can give you ideas about what to include, and together we can figure out how it will seamlessly weave through your ceremony.

Can we include readings?

Yes. I can suggest meaningful readings or poems, and help friends and family feel confident if they’re reading. On the day, I will always arrive early and talk everything through with them so they know their cues.

Can we write our own vows and promises?

Yes, and I’m very happy to guide you through it. Whether you want heartfelt, funny, traditional or modern, I’ll help you find the right tone. I can also speak to couples separately if they want to keep their vows secret from each other.

Can we include music?

Yes - recorded, live or both. I can help you work out where to include it, who will be in charge of playing it and what equipment might be needed.

How long is the ceremony?

Wedding ceremonies are usually around 40 minutes. Naming ceremonies are often shorter, especially with little ones who prefer not to sit still for long! But the length is up to you.

What size of ceremony can we have?

Accepted Answer

Anything from a big joyful celebration to a tiny intimate gathering. Your ceremony can be as small or as large as you want it to be.
